Audit Committee
The Audit Committee is a constitutionally required committee that oversees Financial Audits, working closely with the Finance Committee, Senior Pastor, and Director of Administration.
Community Engagement Committee
The Community Engagement Committee invests deeply in gathering the congregation for spiritually-rich and community-centered events and programs. They welcome newcomers and strive to make St. John's a gracious, inclusive community. You can participate by being part of the welcoming presence on Sunday morning by being a greeter; connecting newcomers to St. John's ministries or volunteering to help setup, decorate, serve, or cleanup at one of the many events St. John’s hosts.
Executive Committee
Comprised of the Senior Pastor, President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer of the Church Council to run the business of the Council in-between monthly meetings.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is responsible for recommending financial policies and budgets to the church council that support the mission of St. John's Lutheran Church. The committee also reviews the organization's financial performance and provides general fiscal council.
Justice Making Committee
The Justice Making Committee is a leadership team bringing together the previous Racial Justice Internal Culture Committee; the Racial Justice Education committee; Care 4 Creation committee; 1128 LGTBQ+ Ministry and Homeless Action Team. This newly formed committee’s primary focus centers around coordinating speakers, education and book reads in a combined calendar.
Larger Lutheran Witness Committee
A group of volunteers who partner with the Senior Pastor to explore opportunities with other ELCA congregations.
Library Committee
The Library Committee prepares new books and DVDs for our library, removes old ones, and keeps files up to date.
Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee works alongside the Senior Pastor to nominate leaders to serve on Church Council and the Nominating Committee.
Personnel Committee
The Personnel Committee works with the Senior Pastor to address HR matters, update the employee handbook and policies, and support any hiring and conflict resolution processes.
Property Committee
The Property Committee meets with the Property Manager on a monthly basis to discuss the property condition, maintenance, and projects.
Stewardship Committee
The Stewardship Committee works with staff to present a yearly campaign for members to give of their time, talents, and treasure.
Youth and Family Committee
Working alongside the Director of Youth and Family Ministries, this team helps provide strategic vision and leadership for all ministries of congregants under 18 years of age and their families.
