At St. John's Lutheran Church, we have a multitude of ministry opportunities for individuals of all ages. Whether your child is looking to join our Sunday School program, you'd like to volunteer serving our unhoused neighbors, or you'd like to join our monthly book club, there's something here for you!
Background checks and/or online training are sometimes required for council members, staff, and volunteers per St. John’s policies and for State law compliance. There is specific training and background checks required for specific roles. For example, council members, staff, and some volunteers are required to have a Live Scan background check while other volunteers are required to have a different level background check.
As St. John’s becomes more volunteer/servant leader led, it will be important for recruiters to have this information prior to volunteering. If you have questions about this process, please contact Joel Barkel at joel.barkel@stjohnslc.org.
