Our Mission: to mobilize women to act boldly in their faith in Jesus Christ

The Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA) is a network of nearly a half million women in the United States who work to make a difference in the world.

The St. John's chapter of WELCA meets in small groups on a monthly basis. Together we pray, study the Bible, and support each other. We also work to support other women in need. Among our service projects, we provide layettes for new mothers, supplies for the St. John's Shelter Program for Women and Children, and meals and support for Family Promise. The special ministry of our Quilting and Sewing groups is raising money through craft sales and sending blankets to Lutheran World Relief.

Women at St. John’s act boldly in their faith each day. Join us as we celebrate our faith with action in God’s name.
