The Parish Nurse directs and leads Congregational Care ministries with a goal of making St. John’s a place where health, healing and wholeness are valued by all and where resources can be provided to serve our members’ needs in these areas. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, health educator; integrator of faith and health working with - supporting the Stephen Ministry Team and Eucharistic Servers; oversee the public and private prayer lists; coordinate home visitations for member care; follow up with those on the prayer list and/or who have health concerns; prepare, schedule and send bereavement letters and books at regular intervals following the loss of a loved one for one year; serve as Assisting Minister in worship.
