The purpose of the Bookkeeper is to provide financial services to church members and staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, recording and reporting annual pledges; preparing quarterly giving statements; preparing monthly financial reconciliations and reports; recording weekly contributions and preparing bank deposits; weekly reconciliation of all bank/investment accounts; preparing bi-weekly payroll; maintaining PTO balances for all staff; preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly payroll tax forms and make any necessary deposits; preparing and distributing W-2s and 1099s at year end. This position also supports the church Treasurer in preparation for monthly reports to the church Council, as well as yearly budgeting processes.
